"It takes a village to raise a child"
Today, Bambams has grown into a community of three nurseries, but our core mission remains unchanged. We are privileged to be part of your village, supporting you through the incredible journey of raising your little ones.
About Us
Bambam's Nursery proudly opened its doors on 12th July 2012, born from a very personal journey. As parents preparing to return to work, we searched for a nursery that met our high expectations for care, safety and learning - but nothing quite felt right. So we created our own.
We understand just how important it is to choose the right nursery for your family. It is one of the biggest decisions you will make as a parent. That's why we are committed to working in partnership with you, listening carefully to your wishes and ensuring your child feels safe, valued and truly at home in our warm and welcoming environment.
Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure every child in our care is safe, supported and thriving. We carefully nurture each child's development, supporting them to reach key milestones through engaging, purposeful experiences. Our staff are highly qualified and receive ongoing professional training, including safeguarding, paediatric first aid, SENCO responsibilities and additional specialist development to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
We celebrate that every child is unique. By recognising and responding to individual strengths, interests and needs, we create personalised learning opportunities that build confidence, independence and resilience. Our stimulating indoor and outdoor environments are thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, encourage exploration and foster a lifelong love of learning - all whilst ensuring children have fun every single day.
Our Values
At Bambam's Nursery, our values are rooted in care, trust and excellence. We place every child at the heart of what we do, recognising that each one is unique, capable and full of potential. Their safety, wellbeing and happiness are our highest priorities, and we create a nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and confident to explore. As parents ourselves, we believe in building strong, open partnerships with families, working together to support every child's individual journey. We are committed to high standards of professionalism through qualified staff and ongoing training, ensuring the very best care and education. Above all, we foster kindness, inclusivity and respect, creating a stimulating environment that inspires curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
Meet Our Team
Claire Hill
Founder / Director
I qualified as a Primary School Teacher in 2008 and spent two wonderful years teaching before taking time out to start my own family. After having Ethan, I found I simply couldn't face returning to the classroom in the traditional sense. During many conversations with Katie, we realised we shared the same passion and vision - and together we took a leap of faith to open our very own Stay and Play.
What began as a small, nurturing setting soon grew into a preschool, and over time flourished into the thriving nursery we are so proud of today. I genuinely love what I do. I feel incredibly blessed to work in such a vibrant, inspiring environment.
In 2014, I completed my NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, further strengthening my knowledge and allowing me to support our preschool team, particularly as children prepare for their important transition to school. I am also proud to hold the roles of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Startwell Lead and SENCO Lead, ensuring children's safety, wellbeing and individual needs remain at the heart of our provision.
Katie Bamber
Founder / Director
I have worked in childcare for over 15 years, beginning my career as an unqualified nursery nurse in a day nursery and progressing to the role of Manager within a before and after school club. Throughout this time, I developed a deep passion for early years education and a strong desire to one day create something of my own.
After having my son, Finnley, in 2011, I found it difficult to return to work. During antenatal classes, I met Claire and we quickly formed a wonderful friendship. When she suggested we open a Stay and Play together, I didn't hesitate - it felt like the perfect opportunity. From those early beginnings, we grew into a preschool, worked tirelessly to build our vison, and eventually saw my dream of owning a nursery become a reality.
I truly love what I do. I care for the children as if they were my own and feel incredibly fortunate to enjoy every single day at work. Watching the children grow, learn and flourish is the most rewarding part of my role.
